Software sniffer_gpu.exe Eating CPU Power Fixed

in Blog

This was rather quirky, but after installing DirectX from Microsoft, my pc started to get a gpu error (intel) whenever I run any graphic intensive Adobe software (photoshop, illustrator, etc.)

I found out that an app from Adobe – sniffer_gpu.exe would eat up about 30% of CPU power after I load Photoshop. I asked Google, didn’t give a definite answer but here’s what I understood, it could be a driver issue.

I already had the latest Intel software for my laptop which is an ASUS X555LN so here’s the fix I did:

I reinstalled the Intel VGA driver.

Then everything was running smoothly and there were no errors anymore. Computers are unpredictable. But hope this helps ^_^
